报告人简介: Jiadong Chen received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2012 from Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Science, Shanghai and was Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurology, University of California, San Francisco since 2012. Dr. Chen's research interests include neuron development, stem cell and epilepsy. His research works were published on the first-class academic journals and was awarded by "American Epilepsy Society Fellows Program" in 2014 and "The Care & Cure Pediatric Epilepsy Fellow" in 2012.
报告简介：Since first described in 1877 as a "zone of uncertain function", the zona incerta and its role in the brain remains incompletely understood. During my talk, i would like to share our recent findings on an early-appearing GABAergic projection pathway from the zona incerta of the diencephalon to the cortex. The zona incerta axonal projection forms one of the earliest-appearing cortical circuits and plays a critical role in shaping cortical neuron development and circuit function.
