报告人简介：教授，1961年获得剑桥大学心理学博士学位，1961年-1970年先后在M.I.T，Harvard大学工作，1970年至今任普林斯顿大学心理学系教授。主要从事视觉感知的大脑结构和视觉学习，关注颞下回皮层在物体表示、盲点和成人神经再生中的作用，发表了200多篇研究论文和著作，成果显著，1996年当选为巴西科学院外籍院士，1998年当选为美国科学院院士，1999年当选为美国艺术和科学院研究员，2005年获得美国心理协会杰出科学贡献奖。

报告简介：Today the study of the neuroscience of the processing of the facial image is a major developmental theoretical and practical enterprise. This lecture will trace this subject from the origins over one hundred years ago and concentrate on the speaker’s own research of face recognition on the single neuron and human neuropsychological studies.
