华东理工大学认知神经动力学研究所,教授。1992年于北京大学技术物理学系,获学士学位;1997年于中国科学院生物物理研究所,获计算神经科学专业博士学位,后赴日本玉川大学学术研究所脑研究中心进行博士后研究、2002任日本玉川大学脑科学研究所研究员,2011年回国,任华东理工大学认知神经动力研究所,教授。研究兴趣为:1、有关推理的神经机制的研究;2、有关前额叶皮层和纹状体间相互作用的功能的研究;3、有关推理、前额叶皮层与纹状体间相互作用功能的理论模型研究。研究成果发表于Nature Neuroscience、Journal of Neuroscience等高水平学术杂志。

 

报告简介:The prefrontal cortex and striatum are two major structures involved in reward prediction. To understand the nature of these processes, we recorded single-unit activity from the lateral prefrontal cortex (LPFC) and the striatum in monkeys performing a reward inference task using an asymmetric reward schedule. We found that neurons in the LPFC could predict the reward value of a stimulus using transitive inference; whereas the recorded striatal neurons did not show such ability. Instead, the striatal neurons were able to exclusively infer the reward value for a stimulus. We further found some LPFC neurons encoded reward information based on a group of stimulus associated together, but did not find such neurons in the striatum. The LPFC neurons that represented both the reward and category information might be the neural basis of transitive inference. The results suggest that the LPFC is involved in model-based reward learning and the striatum in model-free reward learning.
